We stopped a robbery

We started at TGIFridays where they have some of the best cocktails. I always love their long island ice teas, however this one was a bit of a let down. The coke was flat. They really amped up their food menu though! While they got rid of my beloved mac and cheese balls, they did add fried chicken wings and boy do I love a chicken wing. The seasoning was exceptional! I also got a frozen and margarita and they were huuuuge. Granted, not el camino huge but definitely by TGI standards.

I hadn't been in months and it was quite nice to go back. The trivia's and memories I have made there will always be special to me! It was a big part of my uni experience and I like that its a meeting spot for me and my friends. Sort of like our own central perk I guess.

After we drank and ate, we dashed over the see Adi's play. She produced it and i'm so proud of her! I had no idea she was interested in the behind-the-scenes aspect, but i'm glad she's found joy in it, and I hope she continues to produce, and maybe even one day direct something!

After the play we did what we do best, make lots of noise at karaoke. We got the biggest room and it left us plenty of space to dance and really pour our hearts and souls into our performances. Adi joined us too and it felt good to celebrate Adi's accomplishment.

Post-karaoke, Ruby gave me and Justy a lift back to his place where she was gonna hang out with us for a while. As we were travelling, Justyn mentioned he was hungry, so we decided to stop at the local service station.

When we pulled in, we saw about eight eshays hanging around the entrance, clearly trying to break in.

Ruby floored it, getting us out of there as fast as she could.

We ended up parked outside Justyn’s house while he called the police. But before we knew it, two of the eshays had followed us and were walking straight toward the car.

Ruby and I hadn’t noticed a thing, but Justyn turned around, saw them, and warned us they were coming. I thought, pfft, Justy’s just being dramatic. But then Ruby floored it again. Turns out, Justy wasn’t being dramatic at all. They had really followed our car up the street, ready to start trouble.

If Justyn hadn’t seen them, we would’ve all gotten out without a second thought and who knows what might’ve happened.

We drove a few streets away, just far enough to feel safe and let Justyn finish his call with the police. We sat nervously, listening as he explained everything.

Finally, he hung up and told us three police cars were already at the service station. We felt safe enough to head back to his place.

Inside, we greeted his roommates and immediately launched into the story, thinking it was all over. But a few minutes later, there was a knock at the door followed by a loud “Police!” Two officers stood outside, asking questions and gathering details.

Then a higher-ranking officer showed up. The kind with the fancy hat and big title, shining his flashlight around the yard. Suddenly he called out, “We’ve got one!” and an eshay bolted out of the bushes. The officers chased him down while Justyn ran inside to get his roommates so we could all watch the takedown.

The officer tackled the guy as he screamed profanities, and then, out of nowhere, another eshay came tearing out of another bush, only to be taken down too. It felt like we had front-row seats to WWE SmackDown. Absolute chaos!

So yeah… I hope your Friday night was as action-packed as mine.

Sez.
