I have never been one for cooking or baking. However, when I was organising a picnic I decided it would be such a nice change to bring something that I actually made. I wanted a super easy, no muss, no fuss recipe that would not require an oven.
So I decided to go for Rocky Road!
This sweet treat is an absolute classic and it's familiar so a guaranteed winner amongst everyone!
Ingredients
200 G marshmallows chopped
500 G Cadbury Baking milk chocolate
1/2 chopped peanuts
1/4 desiccated coconut
110 G Allens ripe raspberries lollies. Turkish delight can also be used as an alternative, however it can be difficult to find
Kitchen Tools
X1 large bowl
X1 Baking paper
X1 Tin pan
Procedure
Gather all kitchen tools
line baking paper in the slice tin
Melt Baking milk chocolate in a bowl
Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly
Carefully pour mixture into the tin
Refrigerate until set
Be sure to:
Maintain the right marshmallow to chocolate ratio. We don't want it to be too soft.
Use the correct size tray. If it is too big, the rocky road will become very thin.
Remain positive! it's easy to mess up any recipe no matter how simple, however a solid 98% of the time there is a solution. Don't fret :)
