Full Disclosure: I am not a Spiderman expert
I love Spiderman. The films are so entertaining and I never thought I would be into this genre of movie but I gotta tell you I've never been more happy to be wrong.
I really like all the Spidermen; Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. They have all done a great job in their roles of Peter Parker/Spiderman
I do not have a least favourite Spiderman. I do however have a least favourite movie/s and my apologies to Tom Holland. I simply am not a huge fan of his Spiderman films. I still do not understand why Iron man is in Spiderman. I think its fun to have crossovers just as they do in TV shows but there is just something about Tony Stark being in a Spiderman film that doesn't sit right with me. Isn't there a whole other franchise where multiple superheroes are in the same film? The avengers?. Maybe I'm a tad harsh. A common opinion is that Tobey Maguire is the best and I think I agree. He does Peter Parker the best but I think Andrew Garfield was a better Spiderman if that makes sense. And Andrew had the best spidey-suit. I am aware that Andrew Garfield is the least popular Spiderman but (and maybe I'm bias due to my overall love of Andrew) I reckon he was great. Sue me.
Oh! something else in Spiderman that bugs me (if you'll pardon the pun) is the fact that Andrew's Spiderman doesn't have organic web shooters. The ability to create webs is perhaps the biggest spider feature. Nevertheless I can look past that major blunder and still appreciate the film as a whole.
The reason I am writing about Spiderman is because The new Spiderman film has come out "No way Home". I have not seen the full film *Spoilers ahead* but of course I have watched Andrew and Tobey returning as Spiderman and it was very satisfying. Congrats.
I think what I'm trying to say I enjoyed various aspects from each Spiderman and they all have pros and cons and it would be pretty neat if I could put my favourite aspects into the one movie: The Ultimate Spiderman.
In terms of villain, the Green Goblin from the first Spiderman.
In terms of the love interest, Gwen Stacy all the way.
And we cannot forget about Aunt May. She's a legend.
But why was aunt May super young in the Tom Holland films? she didn't seem that much older than him. I'm sorry but that's weird.
I'm concerned as I've written this that I may have missed explanations for some of my more negative points so please pardon any of my ignorance.
While we're on the topic of superheroes, I would like to mention Batman. I thoroughly enjoy Batman but about it was about halfway through the film I realised that Batman does not actually have any super powers. I think I was under the impression that maybe he could transform into a bat or something, low-key disappointed.
You know what was really really good? Iron man. Fantastic stuff.
I also saw Ant Man but for one reason only: Paul Rudd. I love that man. He's in his fifties and still looks gorgeous and was unsurprisingly titled 2021's sexiest man alive. I liked Ant man.
Overall, I cannot make a full judgement on the superhero topic as I actually have not seen many Superhero films but I look forward to giving them a go. I'm not entirely sure where to start though.
I'm sure nobody will care about my Spiderman opinions but I have honestly enjoyed sitting typing this and having a discussion with myself. It's fun and strangely gives me a chance to reflect on my thoughts, allowing me to change my mind about certain comments I've made. Congratulations you made it to the end. It's over.
Go watch some Spiderman!
